چکیده

The increasing world population and developing industrial areas increase the need for energy. This situation makes alternative renewable energy sources efficient use of these more valuable. In this study, seeds Sinapis arvensis, Brassica nigra, napus from Brassicaceae family grown in ecological conditions Bayburt province Turkey, to determine usability potential wild species biodiesel production. Biodiesel quality characteristics oil yield fatty acid composition were determined first time region using GC-MS. included study was found be between 30.29% 46.02%. addition, linolenic (7.62%-13.70%) values lowest highest nigra. terms flash point (194˚C-195˚C), B. S. arvensis closest species. Fatty analysis results nigra similar napus. It has been observed that have production composition.

Variability of Fatty Acid Composition in Interspecific Hybrids of Mustard Brassica Juncea and Brassica Napus

In Sri Lanka, mustard (Brassica juncea) is cultivated as a subsidiary crop for the seeds used as a condiment in cooking. In the Indian sub-continent, however, it is an important oilseed crop used as a source of vegetable oil. Mustard has over 45% erucic acid (C22:1) which is unsuitable nutritionally for human consumption. The Brassica oilseed species, B. napus and B. campestris, were developed ...

Volatile Glucosinolate Degradation Products of Brassica Napus and Sinapis Alba Seeds

Brassica napus L. and Sinapis alba L. are two cruciferous species for which some medicinal uses are mentioned in the Iranian, Indian and Chinese traditional medicine. Seed oil of  B. napus has cathartic action, and is either used as such or after partial hydrogenation for cooking, shortening or as margarines. Sees of S. alba have also cathartic action and some other medicinal uses but, beca...

Transfer of Dicamba Tolerance from Sinapis arvensis to Brassica napus via Embryo Rescue and Recurrent Backcross Breeding

Auxinic herbicides (e.g. dicamba) are extensively used in agriculture to selectively control broadleaf weeds. Although cultivated species of Brassicaceae (e.g. Canola) are susceptible to auxinic herbicides, some biotypes of Sinapis arvensis (wild mustard) were found dicamba resistant in Canada. In this research, dicamba tolerance from wild mustard was introgressed into canola through embryo res...

Fatty acid breakdown in developing embryos of Brassica napus L.

Developing Brassica napus embryos are primarily concerned with the accumulation of storage products, namely oil, starch and protein. The presence of fatty acid catabolic pathways in the background of this biosynthetic activity was investigated. Enzymes involved in the process of lipid mobilization, such as malate synthase and isocitrate lyase, are detectable towards the late stages of embryo de...

6-d-glucopyranosyl Fatty Acid Esters from Brassica Napus Pollen

6-D-Glucopyranosyl esters of palmitic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids were identified in Brassica napus (rape) pollen. These esters are inactive as plant growth promoters in the bean second-internode bioassay. acids as oleic. linoleic and linolenic acids. The identitv of o-glucose in hydrolysates of esters subsequently isolated by PLC was established by TLC, GLC and colour reaction. Indivi...
